covered by this policyAndroid Mobipax MP Lightning Detector application, created by Mobipax LLC for Android and distributed on the Goggle PlayStore.
The Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detector Monitor and Control application is free. Mobipax LLC does not capture, share, or sell users' information.
INTERNET, CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
The Android application uses Internet and Network permissions. These permissions are used by the application to access the Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detection System servers to obtain Lightning device and system status and current data. These permissions are also used by the application to allow assigned MP Lightning Detector Administrators to log into the system to control owned/assigned Lightning Detectors features.
COARSE_LOCATION
Coarse-location is used to find local MP Lightning Detectors near you, and to sort those detectors by distance from the user. Although your device's coarse location info is sent to the servers, the location access is performed using a random-number as your device identifier, so your specific mobile device info is not exposed. We do not keep, we do not track and we do not share or sell your location information.
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_STATE, and FINE_LOCATION
Some MP Lightning Detectors use WiFi, instead of Cell-Networks, to communicate status and receive commands. Those WiFi enabled MP Lightning Detectors must be configured to connect to the local WiFi network. The latest Google APIs require FINE LOCATION and other permissions to be enabled while the user is configuring a WiFi enabled MP Lightning Detector with WiFi credentials so that the MP Lightning Detector can connect to the internet and Mobipax servers. FINE LOCATION is not enabled by default and can be disabled after configuring the WiFi MP Lightning Detector. Our application does not otherwise require FINE LOCATION, it is only required by Google to access WiFi scanning and selection.
User accounts cannot be created or modified in this application. Owners of specific Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors that are controllable can select specific people as Administrators of a device, who will be able to control device features like device Siren Volume, device Hours of Operation and device Test. Mobipax will assign Lightning Detector Administrators their username/password for their assigned devices. Usernames are not required to be email addresses. Administrator Passwords are stored in encrypted format and when stored are unreadable by Mobipax LLC. Mobipax LLC has access to usernames of assigned Mobipax LLC Lightning Detector administrators; the usernames map those administrators to specific MP Lightning Detectors they can control. Non-Owners cannot establish an Administrator login/password but can use the free application as-is, without logging in, to quickly monitor publicly available MP Lightning Detectors' status and state.
The owner can have the Administrator Usernames and Passwords deleted, by contacting Mobipax LLC at info@mobipax.com
The Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors are physical devices, poles measuring about 6 feet tall made with aluminum and poly-carbonate to be installed near playgrounds, sports-fields, water-areas, golf courses, horse training areas, backyards etc.. They are usually mounted on tall poles or on the sides of a buildings. When a Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detector detects lightning or strong electrical activity it produces flashing lights and siren sounds to alert people nearby to the danger of lightning.
A connected version of the Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detector will transmit current status of the detector for display on our Android Mobile app and iPhone mobile apps. The transmitted status can also be monitored on specifically configured BACnet and SCADA Smart-City or industrial control consoles.
Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors can be purchased and
installed by private individuals, organizations and municipalities.
The connected version of the Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detector
requires a monthly subscription payment for connection service.
Mobipax MP Lightning Detector applications are applications, for example mobile (iOS, Android etc.), tablet, browser based, and smart-city applications, to be used by users to receive the current status of Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors. Assigned Administrators with proper login credentials for specific Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors can control those specific Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors, to adjust Siren Volume, Hours of Operation, Test the devices, Force an Alarm Condition On or OFF, and other possible administrator features that might be added.
Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors that are unconnected (for example no wifi or cell connection) transmit no information, other than locally blinking lights and sounding a siren. These devices cannot be monitored or controlled by the Mobipax MP Lightning Detector applications or Smart-City BACnet or SCADA consoles.
Mobipax LLC MP Lightning Detectors that are connected (via wifi or cell connection) transmit only device status and state (Lightning Status and internal state) to the Mobipax LLC Lightning Detection System Servers. Those connected devices also locally blink lights and sound a siren. The Android Mobipax MP Lightning Detector application receives Lightning Detector status from the servers.
